CRYSTAL TAVARES - Head Coach
Coach Crystal is the Head Coach and Operator of the Kissimmee Swim Association. She was the Assistant Coach to Tom Nielsen for a year and took over the program in September of 2008. Coach Crystal is Level 2 certified by the American Swimming Coaches Association.
Coach Crystal is a resident of Osceola County and graduated from Osceola High School. She was a competitive swimmer for KSA for about 8 years. She specialized in the mid and long distance freestyle events and the 200 backstroke and breaststroke. She received her Associate's Degree from Valencia Community College and her Bachelor's of Arts in Business Management from the University of South Florida.
ALEXANDRA MARTINEZ - Assistant Coach/Sharks Coach
Coach Alex is our resident Senior Swimmer and Assistant Coach in charge of the Sharks program. She is a Senior at Gateway High School and specializes in Butterfly and Individual Medley. She is the 2009 OBC Champion in the 100 Butterfly. She is the 2010 OBC Champion in the 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, 200 Medley Relay, and 200 Free Relay.
Coach Alex has been with KSA as a swimmer since 2005 and came on board coaching in 2009. She enjoys working with the young stars of the team.
